We saw several houses in Vientiane while Yumi and I were there a few weeks ago. All of them were at least three times the size of our apartment in Singapore, and that is just on the first floor!
The house we settled on was rather simple and small, compared to what are available. We both love this house the instant we saw it, and this was from the outside of the gate! We just can’t explain why. Maybe because it has a big garden for the kids to run around, or that it is located in a safe neighborhood (behind the US Ambassador’s Residence), or that we got along so well with the landlord.
Or maybe it is because Yumi and I have this connection about most things in our lives that just can’t be explained. It sounds crazy but it’s true: we were never wrong in past decisions if our first impression is the same. More on this later….
